"Over the course of five days, I had the incredible opportunity to explore Borneo. Starting with the main attractions of Kota Kinabalu, the vibrant capital of Sabah state, situated in the northern part of the island. My journey began with a visit to the world-famous seafood market, where the variety and freshness of the offerings were beyond my expectations. From there, I ventured to Kinabalu Park, which offered a breathtaking view of Mount Kinabalu. The park, with its enchanting botanical garden, relaxing hot springs, and thrilling canopy walkways, provided a unique blend of natural beauty and adventure.

The following day was dedicated to the Mari-Mari Cultural Village, an eye-opening experience that allowed me to explore and understand the history and culture of Borneo's diverse tribes. The immersive visit was enlightening and provided a deeper appreciation of the area's rich heritage.

My journey continued with a short flight from Kota Kinabalu to Sandakan, where new adventures awaited. I explored the bustling Sandakan Central Market, indulging in the fresh seafood and local agricultural products. The visit to the serene Puh Jih Syh Buddhist Temple and the unique Sim Sim Water Village offered a glimpse into the local lifestyle and spiritual practices.

A highlight of my trip was the visit to the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Center, where I witnessed the commendable efforts to rehabilitate orphaned and injured orangutans. Observing the feeding sessions was a poignant and unforgettable experience.
