KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Ministry will propose a lower capital requirement for fresh graduates venturing into the tourism industry.
Its minister Datuk Masidi Manjun said they will be making the proposal to the Federal Government in the next exco meeting to encourage more to venture into the industry legally.
For those in Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan and Tawau, the capital required is RM200,000 and it is RM50,000 in the outskirts, he said at the opening of a Tourism Industry Enforcement seminar here yesterday. Click to read more...
