Begin your island adventure with a 9:00 AM hotel pick-up and transfer to the jetty for a 15-minute ferry ride to Gaya Island, the largest of the five islands in Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. Gaya Island is home to some of the best lowland forests, featuring a diverse range of ecosystems. Upon arrival, embark on a 1.5-hour guided trek through coastal vegetation, mangrove swamps, and lowland dipterocarp forests. Along the way, your guide will share insights about the rich flora and fauna of this tropical paradise.
After completing the trek, a boat will transfer you to Sapi Island, the smallest among the five islands, renowned for its clear waters and vibrant marine life, making it an ideal spot for snorkeling and swimming. Spend your time at leisure whether exploring the waters, relaxing on the white sandy beach, or enjoying short trails around the island.
A lunch will be provided, after which you can continue your free time to swim, snorkel, or simply unwind. At 3:00 PM, board a boat back to Kota Kinabalu mainland, where you will be transferred to Sutera Marina Jetty and then back to your respective hotel or resort.
