This muddy, adrenaline-pumping river is located in the interior of southwestern Kota Kinabalu and is only accessible by an exciting colonial train ride.

Classified as a Grade III - IV river, Padas is renowned for having the best rapids in Southeast Asia. This 9km rafting journey will have you conquering 7 thrilling and challenging rapids, each with names that perfectly capture their wild nature such as Merry-Go-Round, Break Point, Scooby Doo, Cobra, Curve, Lambada, and Head Hunter. Every rapid brings its own unique twists, turns, and heart-racing excitement!

While this adventure is best suited for advanced paddlers, we welcome first-timers who are eager to take on the challenge. If you're looking for an unforgettable adrenaline rush, this white water rafting experience is a must-try!

Full Itinerary

0530hrs Meet at hotel in Kota Kinabalu city and transfer directly to Beaufort town. The journey takes approximately 2 hours’ drive through the scenic country.

0700hrs Estimated time arrival at Beaufort town.

0800hrs Tour begins with a train ride to the rafting starting point known as Pangi (1 hour 30 minutes ride - your belongings will be safely stored in the van).

1030hrs Estimated time arrival at Pangi Railway Station. Simple light refreshment will be served and followed with a safety briefing conducted by our professional river guide / raft master.

1100hrs Lets get down to the business and experience the ultimate white water rafting class III and IV. Enjoy the extremely trip and nerve tingling excitement which crescendos rapid after rapid (7 exhilarating rapids) towards the ending point named as Rayoh (1 hour 30 minutes / 2 hours or 9km splashing fun).

1300hrs BBQ lunch will be served at Rayoh Railway Station.

1400hrs On board the train to Beaufort Railway Station

1600hrs Once arrived, get freshen up and change. On board coach and transfer back to hotel in Kota Kinabalu city.

1800-1830hrs Estimated time arrival at Kota Kinabalu city.

Due to unexpected train breakdown periodically, tour itinerary will have to be adjusted to accommodate the changes. Should this happen, do expect longer overland journey
