Great 2D1N Mt Kinabalu Climb

We chose Borneo Trails as they were the only company that was able to accept our 2D1N Mt Kinabalu climb on a specific date (we had emailed a few other reputable organizers too). This was done about 6 weeks before our actual climb date (outside the 30 days' stated booking window for 2D1N climbs too).

Booking was quite straightforward, and we took a risk in making full payment via iPayment88. Subsequent queries were addressed quite promptly, and they picked us up from our city hotel on time too. All the necessary logistics was settled by them, and we were quite happy with their service.

Mt. Kinabalu and more...

Firstly, I had an amazing climb up Mt. Kinabalu. My guide, Lasius, was THE BEST guide on the mountain. He followed me up at my pace. The morning of the summit, I followed him as he traversed up and down the mountain to make the climb much easier and safer for me.
The second part of my trip to Danum Valley was not to be since I lost my passport and wallet the morning I was to go to the airport. It was during this time, Borneo Trails went out of their way to assist me with an immigration visa so I could get back to Kuala Lumpur where the US Embassy was to get a new emergency passport to return home. It was a bit overwhelming trying to figure out the system. They are a phenomenal group of people who showed compassion, gave me support and grounding when I needed it most. I will certainly use them again as I want to return to visit Mulu and Kuching.

I would like to thankyou for allowing us to have such an enjoyable holiday while in Malaysia.

We did the Sepilok Orangtan, Sun Bear and Sandakan City tour with Jakie . (Not sure if the spelling is correct.)

He was such a fantastic tour guide and gave us such a memorable day. There was not one thing to fault with our day.

We also did the Kinabalu Park and Poring Hot Spring tour today with Jeff.  We again could not fault the day. It was great seeing the Botanical Gardens and doing the canopy walk and hot springs.  

You should feel very proud of your staff and the way they present themselves.  I was very impressed. They were on time, very informative in sharing the local history and willingly answering any of our questions.
