As Taylor said previously, it was extremely enjoyable and memorable, thanks to your knowledge and expertise! I loved every second of the tour, and I know the others did too.
Please do pass on our thanks to Ben also, for driving us around all over the place!
When you do get to come to England, do let us know! I know Taylor would be more than happy to take you to Anfield, as he’s always itching to get there himself.
We cannot wait to return to Borneo on our own holidays, and it’s all down to you!
If there is anything we can do for you here, please do let us know and we will do our absolute best for you!
Again, thank you so much for such a wonderful and memorable trip!
We hope to see you soon!
Kind Regards,
Grace Mortimer

Hi Patricia & Yunus
I have just returned from my trip and wanted to say thank you to you both for organising these tours for us. We had a fabulous time on both the Poring Hotsprings tour and Turtle Island.
Johnny who took us for the day trip to Poring Hot Springs was particularly fantastic. From the time he picked us up we were all chatting away like old friends and he gave us a huge insight not only of the areas we visited including the trees and birds but also the local cultures and we really felt we came away from the trip with a lot of interesting information. All other tours we did had 2 separate people for driving and a guide so I feel he did an exceptional job and really made the trip enjoyable for us. I forgot to get his contact details so if you are able to forward an email address to me or pass mine onto him that would be fantastic.
Thanks again and I will definitely recommend Borneo Trails.
Cheers

Once again I entirely recommend Borneo Trails. Our 4-person 11-day orchids-focussed tour was a delight with Hermann as Guide, Marthin driving and Jaime booking everything. We appreciate the level of detail and also responding to situations that arose. Non-orchids, the monkeys/fireflies tour was completely different and we truly recommend it. Hotel Gaya in KK was well above 2-stars we thought, and Celyn hotel near Kundasang was also a treat.
As to orchids, D'Villa was a real highlight and BT made it possible for us to get to Tenom and also the orchid centre at Poring. At both places we were unaware at the time that Hermann quietly arranged they stay open past closing time.
The orchids on the Mesilau trail were of course the highlight - but as fit, experienced NZ trampers we unexpectedly found that trail too arduous. (12.5 hours Timpohon to Mesilau) - that is NOT a complaint in fact Hermann worked himself hard as team leader to get us down safely in the dark after we had spent a long time up on the ridge with the orchids and nepenthes.
Borneo Trails, your staff are so dedicated to showing visitors the best of Sabah, with such pride. Please allow any potential clients to contact me, especially regarding orchids.

Thank you to all concerned Hello again Jaime, We just wanted to say thank you to all of your staff (especially Alex, Willie and Walter) for the excellent service provided to us. Willie and Walters tours covered everything we wanted to see and they really went to a lot of trouble to ensure we packed in as much as possible. Were especially grateful to Willie and Alex for the effort they made to ensure we were re-united with Waynes camera. We honestly didnt expect to see it again until we arrived back home and arranged to have it posted here. It was amazing that they were able to get it to us before we left Kota Kinabalu service way above and beyond what could be expected. Please thank them again on our behalf. Finally, thanks also to you for putting our very short tour together. Everything went according to plan and we managed to cover all of the places we had only read about till now. Regards, Dianne & Wayne Cripps

To Whom it May Concern,
Recently my wife and I enjoyed 9 terrific days visiting your wonderful country. We would like to single out some of your personnel for special mention. Namely your guides Mr Geoffrey and Mr Gunn and Mr Fred at the Hyatt booking desk.
We went on your Nature Trails to Kinabalu Park & Poring Hot Springs. Geoffreys knowledge and delivery of this knowledge was quite exceptional during the entire trip day. My wife and I were probably the oldest travellers on the bus that day. When we arrived at Poring all passengers elected to partake in the Canopy Walk. As mentioned earlier my wife and I are getting on in years. I use a walking stick due to my knees are no longer as functional as they once were when I was younger. After climbing the track toward the canopy I had to inform Geoffrey I would not be able to continue ( due to my knees) and would need to return to the entrance to the walk. Instead of leaving me to my own devices to retrace my steps down the steep path, Geoffrey displayed the utmost duty of care and accompanied me to the bottom ensuring I did not trip or fall on my descent by holding on to me during the toughest steepest parts. When after arriving back down off the hill Geoffrey ensured I was comfortable and offered me a chair to sit. He stayed with me to make sure I was recovering from my exertion. Meanwhile on the canopy another drama was unfolding involving my wife. My wife has a dislike of swing bridges. She was not emotionally or mentally prepared for the type of swing bridges making up the canopy walk prior to departing for the canopy walk. She froze approximately1m in from the start of the first bridge. This is where Mr Gunn came to the fore showing true compassion for an frightened elderly tourist. He took my wifes arm and guided her across, not one but all four bridges. They arrived at the end of the canopy walk sometime after the last of our group had crossed. My wife was shaking with anxiety.Mr Gunn stayed with my wife ensuring she made the it to the base without mishap, often taking her arm to guider her down steep and awkward sections of the track.
We utilised your booking desk at the Hyatt Regency manned by Mr Fred. What a delightful young man. He was most informative, very friendly and most helpful with his suggestions for tours he thought we may enjoy. We also went on on the monkey and firefly tour one afternoon /evening. We had the most enjoyable time and observed groups of proboscis & silver monkeys, a monitor lizard and what appeared to be a crocodile excitement all round! Your young bus driver that day whose name I didnt learn, has exceptional driving skills. (Walter was our guide)Twice, through his evasive actions, he prevented what could have been two devastating traffic accidents. These incidents were no fault of your driver but the actions of irresponsible other drivers. The worst was an oncoming vehicle overtaking another on double solid lines on the brow of a hill at night less than 50m in front of us. Apart from that incident we had a truly wonderful time and would recommend your company for all internal tours.
With thanks,
Two grateful Sabah visitors,
Stuart & Seonaid Fife. Perth Australia.
